I only found out about the open day organised by Manchester City Council because I saw the petition online. Although there’s been some consultation with The Friends of Alexandra Park (FoAP) over the years many residents of Whalley Range had no idea about the plans by Manchester City Council to cut about 400 trees and clear 1.3 hectres of plants.
